A playschool should be a space where children learn through joy, curiosity, and freedom. With this vision, Mrs. Ritu Singh (M.A., Ohio University, USA) founded Akshar Nursery School over two decades ago.

At Akshar, the environment is thoughtfully designed so that learning is never imposed—it is naturally and joyfully initiated by the child. Our highly trained and compassionate faculty understands each child’s unique needs and channels their energy into creative and meaningful activities. Through innovative teaching methods, we blend natural learning with modern, technology-supported education.

Our curriculum beautifully integrates the Montessori Method and the Play-Way Approach. While Montessori encourages independence and freedom of choice, we focus on the holistic development of every child—physical, emotional, social, and intellectual. Activities like object segregation, building blocks, Pink Tower, beads, and threading enhance fine motor and cognitive skills.

Through our Play-and-Learn techniques, children explore concepts such as colours, fruits, vegetables, birds, and animals using rhymes, puppet shows, storytelling, dramatization, and fun activities like pony rides. Books are used as helpful tools—but learning goes far beyond them.

At Akshar, the environment itself is a teacher. Our lush green spaces, vibrant classrooms, and engaging setups nurture curiosity and imagination. An “Akshar Kid” can wave at an aeroplane while lying on soft green grass, build castles in a shaded sandpit, or enjoy fresh fruits straight from the garden—creating memories while learning effortlessly.

With colourful swings, a merry-go-round, rabbit hutch, ball pool, sandpit, aquarium, and even a playful bouncing bus, Akshar ensures that every child experiences the joy of learning in the most delightful way.
